Far Far away, past the edge of the sky, And up past the clouds you can see, was a place called Gnome City, with turrets so high, And so fine, it was where all the gnomes liked to be. Life was grand for the gnomes in their safe little homes, and gnome children did flock to the call to attend to their studies with Noggin the Gnome who was learned and kind to them all.

And Noggin did dream, late at night in his chair, of faraway places to go...such as England, thatched cottages, cake and good beer, and things which would make his heart glow!

But one day, misfortune came out of the skies, And breathed a harsh wind on the gnomes. Run for cover and be safe - our brave Noggin cries! As the roofs were blown off all their homes And the great Gnome City was falling apart And the sound of the storm, it did blare but Noggin the Gnome, he hung on from the start, to a tuffet which flew through the air,

Many miles later, Noggin saw sight of land and into a lake he did fall. He struggled to swim towards mountains and sand whilst 'anyone there', he did call. In a boat on the lake, not far from the land, two fisherman heard Noggins plight and being good souls, they gave him a hand and rowed til they had him in sight...
